Another fun thing to do is to turn on your ceiling fan extremely high, turn off the lights so it’s pitch black in the room, then synchronize a strobe light with the speed of the fan so it appears it is not moving at all. Then invite a friend to touch one of the fan blades.
I did this a few years ago to a friend at his own house. He was in such disbelief that he actually touched it again after having his hand mangled the first time, because in his mind there was NO WAY that fan could be moving.
